Pin Passport is made by OLeary Software LLC, an Arizona limited liability company based in Phoenix, Arizona (“we,” “us” or “our”). This policy covers the Pin Passport app for iPhone and Android and this website.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email that service shares with us (Apple lets you hide your email).
- Profile information: optionally, home location, handicap and a profile photo
- Golf rounds: course logged, date, score, rating and notes; your GPS position at check-in, if you grant location permission
- Social activity: friends you add and friend requests. Your display name, profile photo, rounds and leaderboard results are visible to other players.
- Location: used only to suggest nearby courses and verify check-ins while you’re using the app. We never track your location in the background.
- Purchases: whether you’ve bought Pro. Apple or Google handle the payment; we never see your card details.
- Device information: push notification token (if you allow notifications) and device platform
- Usage and session recordings: which screens you view and actions you take in the app, plus error reports. We also record app sessions to find bugs and confusing screens. Recordings show what appears on screen and what you type, including photos and text. This data is linked to your account.
- Contact form: if you message us through this website, your name, email, subject and message
2. How We Use Your Information
- Running the app: your rounds, map, passport, friends and leaderboards
- Push notifications about friend activity (only if you allow them)
- Suggesting nearby courses (only with location permission)
- Unlocking Pro after you buy it
- Signing you in and keeping your account secure
- Fixing bugs and improving the app
- Replying to your messages
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage. US servers. Supabase Privacy Policy

- RevenueCat — tracks whether you’ve bought Pro. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and payments
- Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with them
- Google Maps — the course map. Google receives the map area you view. Google Privacy Policy
- OpenGolfAPI — the course database. No personal data is shared.
- Cloudflare — delivers this website
- Google Fonts — this website loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when a page loads
4. Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking.
5. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone) permanently and irreversibly deletes it. Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to reply.
6. Your Rights and Account Deletion
You can view and correct your information, delete your account, turn off location access and turn off push notifications, all from the app or your device settings. You can also ask us for a copy of your data.
Can’t open the app? Email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request” from the email on your account, and we’ll delete your account and data within 30 days.
7. Children’s Privacy
Pin Passport isn’t directed at children under 13, and you must be 13 or older to use it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We’ll update the effective date when this policy changes. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we’ll let you know in the app.
